How my book performed in its first year

Delighted & honoured to win an award for my book in 2021 from US based Jenkins Group who have been running these awards for the past 14 years. For the 2021 awards, they received over 500 entries. They say that this year’s winners “demonstrate the power of books to inform and to inspire, and help us get through challenging times.”

As part of a team at Pearson, I worked with decision makers & certified over 100 international product coaches to improve their innovation capabilities

Named me as one of the “New Radicals making Britain a better place” for my work bringing an art deco market back to life. It went on to win numerous awards as makes the Time Out and London guides as one of the top spot – must visits.
Harper’s Bazaar included me in their list of Top Entrepreneurs under 40 for my work at a funded Web2.0 startup called Weeworld. (Think back to early days of MSN and AIM messenger – you may have had a WeeMee avatar?)

My Top 10 Achievements

  1. My book, The Really Good Idea Test, was published by Pearson, won an Axiom Business Book Award in 2021 & Wiley have published it in German
  2. I was part of a 2018 award-winning team at a FTSE100 for an international innovation culture changing programme where I trained & certified 100 product coaches across the organisation
  3. I have created & delivered product, marketing & innovation seminars & courses since 2012 for PhDs, masters & degree students nationwide. I am also a senior lecturer, responsible for modules at UCL & Kent universities
  4. I directed the UK’s largest empty shops project at Brixton Village which is now one of London’s top hot spots
  5. I was called a “New Radical” by the Guardian and Observer and was interviewed on BBC Radio 4 & BBC Inside Out in 2009. Techcrunch & The Guardian raved about my “entertaining and insightful” live conference teen panels
  6. I was named as one of Harper’s Bazaar Top Entrepreneurs under 40 in 2007 for generating first revenues for an early Web 2.0 funded startup called “Weeworld” (Home of the WeeMees)
  7. My campaigns were acclaimed by mobile industry press as “the most innovative” and they took T-Mobile UK to market leadership position for picture messaging in 2004
  8. I was responsible at T-Mobile UK for a few firsts: launching the first Blackberry, being the first to activate Shazam in the UK & designing the first bundled price plans
  9. I delivered £millions cost savings for a mobile operator through process re-engineering & product killing!
  10. As a Course Director, I design Product & Innovation training & offer private consultancy for professionals at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
